Hello! I am a Registered Social Worker with training in Thanatology, which is the study of death, dying, and grief—something I’ve always been passionate about. My work revolves around helping people navigate grief and mental health challenges, and I feel truly honored to walk alongside them during some of the most vulnerable times in their lives.
Grief isn’t just about losing a loved one; it can come from so many types of loss—like a job, a relationship, or even a dream that didn’t work out. I create a safe space where people can talk openly about what they’re going through. Sometimes we cry, sometimes we laugh as they share memories, and other times we just sit with the emotions. It’s all about helping people feel seen and supported as they work toward healing.
I’ve had the opportunity to work one-on-one with people grieving deaths by suicide, helped post-secondary students manage mental health crises and ran grief support groups. What I love about my work is that it’s so varied. Some days I’m helping a teenager navigate anxiety or depression, and other days I’m sitting with someone who’s lost a loved one, guiding them through their grief. I use different approaches depending on what each person needs—whether it’s solution-focused techniques, narrative therapy, or something else entirely.
For me, grief counseling is more than just a job. I believe grief is a natural part of life, and it doesn’t need to be “fixed.” What people need is a space where they can process their emotions without judgment, and that’s what I try to provide. My goal is to help them honor their memories, find peace, and move forward in a way that feels authentic to them.
At the core of everything I do, I just want people to know they’re not alone, and that there’s hope, even in the hardest moments.

One of the things I love about science, especially neuroscience, is how understanding the way the brain and body work together allows one to show self-compassion about the difficulties one faces.
When we combine empathy and safety with evidence-based therapeutic techniques, healing begins.
Along with providing general therapy services, I specialize in mood disorders, personality disorders, and supporting family members of those with mood/personality disorders.
You do not have to shoulder your struggles alone.

My absolute passion is helping people become “unstuck”. Life can be overwhelming sometimes, especially when we are grieving, so we all need some non-judgmental guidance from time to time.
No matter what you are going through, life is easier when there is someone who is willing to join you in the struggle.
I first decided to get my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology (UWO) because I wanted to get more ‘tools in the toolbelt’ so I could more intelligently love people - meaning supporting them with evidence-based practices. I became a trauma-informed Certified Grief Counsellor through AIHCP and a Registered Psychotherapist with a MACP through Yorkville University. Additionally, I have my suicide intervention certification (ASIST) and crisis prevention and intervention training (CPIT) certification.
My approach is warm, steady, and grounded in curiosity. I draw from several therapeutic models including ACT, IFS, Somatic Therapy, and CBT. These tools help us explore your emotions, patterns, and beliefs while strengthening your ability to care for yourself in a compassionate and authentic way.
Let’s do this!
